A Dumb Newbie

Postby sockser » Sat Mar 10, 2012 5:48 am

I have a movie on my hd and I would like to burn it to a dvd. I tried to burn it with Windows Movie Maker and it got to 99% and stopped! It gave me an error message ( which I can't recall, sorry ). I have the same problem when I tried to use my laptop. Can I use DVD Shrink to make the movie smaller and maybe that would let the WMM finish the burn? I'm not familiar with file names. I'm a beginner. I'm using Windows Vista on a Gateway pc. My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite with windows 7. also is there a place I can go that will tell me how to use the DVD Shrink? Thanks in advance if you can help me.

You mean, other than the FAQ which is mandatory read and linked to from every page in this forum? And yes, DVD Shrink can make a movie smaller if it's in DVD format. Output to ISO, burn with ImgBurn and skip WMM crap.
