DVD too big?

Postby Aardvaak » Tue Jan 23, 2007 8:59 am

I tried to burn Terminator 2: Judgement Day and it came up with a message that it is too big to fit on a disc. I thought DVD Shrink did just that, I thought it shrank the DVD to fit on a disc?

According to Doom9's guide:

"This bar indicates the size of your project. If it contains a red part, your project is too large and won't fit onto a DVD±R disc. By default, DVD Shrink automatically selects a compression ratio to make your movie fit onto the allocated space (the output size you set up in the preferences)."

So...is there any way to make it fit onto one disc? (A 4.7GB +RW disc)?

I do not use RW discs, but could some space become corrupt on them and they now have less space available to write to (after the format), which is LESS than a normal blank disc? (Which is what DVDShrink as a default creates a size for)
Just curious, since this is what happens to hard drives...
