XP to W7, can't make VOBs anymore

Postby raptorspike » Wed Jul 04, 2012 6:47 am

So, before my last computer died, I would use DVD shrink to make vob files to make my DVDs portable. But I recently built a new W7 box. I started again making my favorite movies digital. When I made the first new VOB, i had nothing but issues. The preview info in Windows Explorer said the files had no length. When I played them, they only were an hour a piece and the movie would hop all over the place. Like end credits would be a quarter of the way in, followed by more of the movie. Anyone got any ideas?

This usually happens when there's a copy protection in place that Shrink can't handle. In that case rip with DVDfab first and try again.
